The hard sayings of Jesus are not necessarily hard to understand but they can be hard to live. Bruce wrote:

If the following pages explain the hard sayings of Jesus in such a way as to make them more acceptable, less challenging, then the probability is that the explanation is wrong.

In this class we will be looking at various teachings of Christ to understand what he taught and how it applies to our present cultural context.

The Gospel Project

Brother Barnabas Ng

Instructor:

How to join:

Zoom Meeting ID: 746 859 4807 Passcode: 101201

Purpose: The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study that guides its participants in encountering the gospel of Jesus Christ on every page of scripture. Through our study together, we will discover that the Bible is not a collection of stories, but one unified story of God’s plan of redemption to rescue his people from sin through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Jesus is not part of the Bible story, he is its main theme—every story points to our need for Jesus. As we see how the pages of scripture point to Jesus, let us point one another to Jesus! May we grow together as a gospel community, experiencing the heart transformation that only the gospel can bring and thus becoming a reflection of our Savior to a world that ever needs the light of his salvation. For more information on the Gospel Project, click here to visit their official website.

What can we expect? Using Zoom, we can expect blocks of lecture-style teaching with PowerPoint as well as multiple small group times to help us discuss the material through its “breakout rooms” feature. In terms of content, we can expect discussions focused on the text, discover how it points to Christ, and consider the ways we can apply this word to all spheres of life. Strongly encouraged is to also participate in daily devotionals as part of The Gospel Project daily discipleship guide. Please email me at bng@ocmchurch.org for your questions and concerns. I look forward to our time together!

Married Couples 夫婦
With age comes enlightenment, praise the Lord! Antioch Fellowship started as families with young children and now as empty nesters, our fellowship continues to study the Word, to grow in faith, and to nurture others within the English-speaking community of OCM. We welcome newcomers and invite you to study the word of God with us (since the lockdown, every Thursday, 8:30-10 pm virtually) and pray for daily guidance as we strive to live a Godly life to the fullest and to share the Joy of the Lord. Before the pandemic, we would spend time together exploring new eateries, special events or plays; but now we pray, encourage and support each other via Zoom and What’s App. We share with each our hobbies such as helpful cooking, baking, gardening tips; we lift each other during dark moments with prayer, poetry, songs and artistic photography and most importantly, we are here to listen to each other. You are never alone. To join us, email Antioch@ocmchurch.org
