"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." (Ephesian 6:12)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we are reminded that conflicts and disputes often arise, causing rifts in relationships and stirring up animosity. Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to recognize that our true struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil.
Forgiveness and reconciliation, therefore, are not merely transactions between human beings, but spiritual battles fought with the weapons of faith, love, and grace. When we extend forgiveness to those who have wronged us and pursue reconciliation, we resist the powers of darkness that seek to sow seeds of discord and bitterness.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ empower us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to reconcile as we have been reconciled. And may our efforts in this spiritual battle bring glory to God and testify to the transforming power of His love.
