呂家傑弟兄出生於香港 , 1982年他與家人移居到美國紐約市。 從念大學開始一直在中宣會聚會至今, 當中也曾在大使命聖經教會服侍(2000-2010)。 2022-2024年期間在信託委員會中事奉 ,  現在執事會中文崇拜部服侍。 呂弟兄與妻子林秀英 (Ann) 在中宣會結婚,  他們育有兩個孩子，Jonathan 和 David。

Karl was born in Hong Kong and has lived in New York City since 1982. He has been attending OCM since college and also previously served at Great Commission Bible Church (2000–2010). His recent experience includes serving on the Board of Trustees (2022–2024). He is currently on the Board of Deacons serving in the Chinese Worship Department. Karl is married to Ann at OCM and has two children, Jonathan and David.
